What makes PaymentsPlus so different to most other subscription software's? Traditional subscription software places the restrictions on the user and are generally written as a generic solution to suit many components. Software like this tends to only restrict the user from what they can see or what they can download and rarely limits what they can do specifically in a particular component. PaymentsPlus on the other hand tackles a subscription somewhat differently, essentially it places the subscription restrictions on the item or items created by and in turn owned the user. Additionally, PaymentsPlus is specifically written to plug in to a host component and not written as a limited one fits all solution. This allows PaymentsPlus to work as a companion to the host component by further enhancing and extending the hosts original features, thus introducing even more capabilities to make the interaction between the host and PaymentsPlus an almost seamless relationship. Take for example Mosets Tree (Mtree) for which PaymentsPlus was originally written for. Mtree is a brilliant versatile component for creating a Business listing site, free classifieds style site and more. Trouble is it doesn't have a payments system built in, so if you want to charge for listings you'll need a third party subscription system to make it possible. Traditional subscription software will generally only allow you to restrict access to the ability to create listings for a given period of time. This might work OK for some business listing sites but generally won't work for most classified style sites. Effectively, with the traditional subscription model the user would have access to the site for XXX Days, Months or Years to create as many listings as they want in that allowed subscription period. Enter the PaymentsPlus Subscription Revolution! Being specifically written to work with the host component, PaymentsPlus overcomes many of the traditional subscription model limitations by placing the restriction on the listing so the listing can be seen by all the site visitors for XXX Days, Months or Years. The listings owner can then purchase as many additional listings as you permit them to do, without being restricted by the ability to place listings and pay fpr those listing by off line methods or via PayPal with a single purchase or automatically recurring subscription using PayPals IPN system. In the case with Mtree, PaymentsPlus further extends Mtree's functionality by allowing the creation of different listing types like, Free, Featured and Standard or any number of other types you wish to add. With PaymentsPlus you can then configure the Mtree core and custom fields and or other Mtree features like Maps, Logo and Gallery Images that YOU want to make available to each type. After that you can create as many subscription products as you like based on XXX Days, Months or Years and tie each one to any of the newly created listing types. PaymentsPlus then goes further so you can specify how many listing subscriptions a user can have for each product. If you are familiar with Mtree then you'll know these features are just not available out of the box. BUT, PaymentsPlus now makes what was once a dream in to a reality. Sounds confusing but in reality its very simple, but don't take my word for it, check out the Front End and Back End Demo's. Just bear in mind that PaymentsPlus has revolutionized the traditional subscription system and configuration whilst straight forward is a bit more complex than a traditional subscription system. Current payment gateways available are PayPal and 2Checkout. I may add more in the future BUT the gateway must be internationally available to merchants worldwide and there be a strong enough demand for it. Authorize.net is only available to merchants in USA.
